As we both look upon the same full moon.
I howl, while you stare and scowl.
The energy radiates through me,
Not sure which way to go.
All I know is while I look into its face straight on,
You will look away.
I am disheartened,
But I will not give up.
I feel broken, but am also whole.
Seeking to heal and know more, no matter which way I go.
It’s not time yet, for my always and forever.
Besides the one here with me right now.
Holding my heart in her hands and hugging it exactly where it beats.
It would be easier if it felt emptiness,
Like the quiet streets below.
No one laughing or playing,
The melancholic song of the whispering trees, alone to themselves.
Sitting quietly.
Waiting.
Patiently.
For glimmers of life to spark again.
Like the moon, shimmering upon the surface of the water.
Reflecting back at me.
