Being Human

3 Words for 2024

Annually for the last decade, I’ve come up with 3 words to guide my year ahead. I originally learned this process from Chris Brogan and after seeing so many variations from others over time, have been following his original method of coming up with my words ever since. I use these to support me in my decision-making and move me towards where I want to go.

Last year, they were #alignedignition (ok, so that’s 2 words rolled into one – wow was this ever effective though), Receptivity, and Embodiment. They definitely delivered in all sorts of ways and more.

For 2024, my words are:

Devotion. Build. Partnership.

Devotion – to myself, first and foremost, trusting myself and my intuition and inner knowing, and from there, allowing what follows.

Build – from within, and having the patience to know that the external will follow. It’s been a tough couple of years of completely redefining myself and letting go of everything I’ve known, and I was recently reminded that a bamboo tree grows underground for a very long time before you see it rise on the surface.

Partnership – I’ve been extremely independent for as long as I can remember. I’m now ready to bring in a romantic partnership to grow and build with, someone with whom I am able to soften and open more, who will enhance my life and vice versa. A true Sacred Union and nothing less. This also means Partnership with others I’m very aligned with in business and other areas and would love to move forward on meaningful collaborations.
