In addition to my passion for all things in terms of digital marketing and SEO, I am also what people would call a “foodie”: I love food of all different ethnicities, shapes, tastes and textures. In my personal time, I am the author of the blog “Victoria’s Food Secrets”, which details my many food adventures, restaurant reviews and opinions on the best things to eat in Vancouver and around the world while on my travels. I am always looking for something different to try; that little extra savoury bite that will set off my taste buds and make me want to come back for more.
Although more and more people are familiar with this concept, in addition to the four tastes that we are all familiar with (Sweet, Sour, Bitter and Salty), there is also a fifth basic taste called “Umami”, which is a combination of the Japanese words “Umai” (meaning “delicious”) and “Mi” (meaning “taste”). Here is a video detailing the scientifics of this fifth basic taste:
“Umami” can be described as a very pleasant, meaty and long-lasting taste that can literally leave your mouth-watering, and it works to balance taste and round out the overall flavor of a dish.
Our approach to Online Marketing, Social Media and SEO is the same: we take the basics of a website and add subtle, yet effective methods that will increase traffic and bring in more business for our clients. Our SEO and Marketing offerings will provide valuable “Umami” to any company looking to expand their online reach.
